EFT, often called “tapping,” is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps reduce emotional distress, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and release the impact of past experiences. It combines elements of modern psychology with acupressure: while focusing on a troubling feeling, memory, or belief, you tap with your fingertips on specific meridian points on the face and upper body.
This process helps calm the body’s stress response, making it easier to think clearly, feel grounded, and respond rather than react. Many people use EFT to ease anxiety, manage stress, process trauma, reduce cravings, or improve performance. It can be done in session with a therapist or learned as a self-care tool, offering lasting benefits beyond therapy.
